Are computers over priced? I'm not talking about the stripped down PCs for $99 plus box tops. I mean PCs like HP, Compaq, Dell and Gateway ... also Macintosh computers?<br><br>Should the price of a really good, well equipped Mac or PC still hover around the $2,000 - $3,000 mark?<br>

Well you get what you pay for but it amazes me with the price of cars rising so fast, that I can get a much more powerful system for what I paid for my first Performa. Good question. I'm guessing maybe we are paying for some R&D also.<br><br>
All of those companies' financial records are publicly available - you can have a look and see.<br><br>I don't think they are overpriced. Apple would be raking in a lot more money if they did - their quarterly profits aren't that big.<br><br>
