This is for new iBooks only (although I presume Apple will adopt this long over-due feature on its PowerBook very soon).<br><br>If you want to dim your screen completely, rather than pressing and holding the F2 key for a few seconds, just hit command-F2 and the screen will dim completely right away.<br><br>
