If you were born before 1954, you were born before television, penicillin, polio shots, frozen food, plastic, contact lenses, frisbees ...radar...credit cards, split atoms, laser beams and ball point pens. even before pantyhose, dishwashers, clothes dryers, electric blankets, and air conditioners, drip dry clothes and before man walked on the moon.
Rabbits were not Volkswagons, before computer dating, dual careers ..never heard of FM radio, tape decks, yogurt, a chip was a piece of wood. Pizza and McDonald's, instant coffee were all unheard of, for a nickle you could mail one letter and two postcards or make a phone call, buy a Pepsi, ride the city bus.
11 cent a gallon gasoline..a good Chevy coupe was $600, grass was mowed, coke was a cold drink ...oh well we survived.
