This summer when I took my grandson to the airport to go back home, I told the Delta desk clerk I needed a security pass because I am with an unaccompanied minor. The clerk looked around then bent over the counter looking at the ground. With a puzzled look on her face she asked where's the child? I said he's right here next to me! The expression on the desk clerk's face was PRICELESS. She blurted out "HOW OLD ARE YOU?" My grandson is 14 & 6'3" tall.
The clerk went to find her manager. The manager told her there are NO EXCEPTIONS. All unaccompanied minors under the age of 17 are to be accompanied to the plane by an adult guardian.
When the manager left, the desk clerk mumbled under her breath, Delta needs to change their policy. This don't make no damn sense.
