Under the category of "Shoulda', Woulda', Coulda'" but...
Had NAFTA been fully implemented... ...AND BECOME REGULATED...
We Could've sent our industries South of the Border instead of overseas, where it Would Have raised the standard of living for the desperately poor citizens of 'Old Mexico'
You know... MEXICANS... Hard Working DEEPLY Religious People who (IMO) we SHOULD Be deliriously Grateful, to them for Guarding OUR Southern Most Frontier!
I've always felt, but seldom hear, how LUCKY We've Long Been to be Bordered by 2 FRIENDLY COUNTRIES!!
Had we shared some of our lower tech manufacturing plants there, and regulated and made sure that a decent standard of wages & working conditions were maintained life could have been so much better for these people. Not only would it have been just the "Right Thing To Do" but we'd have avoided so much crap that we're mired in today!
No need for millions spent on Border Patrols, or WALLS & FENCES... but rather a 2-way-worker-exchange with the same type Light Security we share between ourselves & Our NORTHERN Cousins (who we're so Lucky to have Guarding OUR Northern Most Frontier.
IMAGINE DAT! THE PAN-AMERICAN UNION We'd damn-near have this entire Hemisphere locked into Freedom & Prosperity & Shared Alliances for Decades!
We never got Hilary's Healthcare, Bill's NAFTA, or Al Gore's CLEAN RENEWABLE ENERGY
Instead we got THE PARTY of "NO" that locked up Clinton's ENTIRE 2nd Term over a STEENKING B.J.!
SMOOTH MOVE BUTT-HEADS!
...and EIGHT Years of Crap that we're Still Mired In!
er can you tell I didn't have a good nite? *coff*coff*
