Small businesses, mail order meds users, consumers in general are gonna get swamped by the earliest ripples. Though DM is no longer the bulk of my business, my clients who use direct mail as a core media delivery conduit are gonna feel the pain — and I suppose that's gonna trickle down to me at some point.
From what I can gather, it's primarily first class mail delivery that's being cut. Package delivery and — I assume — Priority and probably Express Mail will not be effected. But those are expensive options if a Saturday delivery is needed. The cheapest Priority Mail fee is $4.80 — more than 10X the price of a first class stamp!
