i tried as you described. as you noted, there was no copy of com.poweronsoftware.nowuptodate.plist (must have cleaned that out from before). although there is a file called com.poweronsoftware.nowcontact.plist (is it ok to delete this)?
anyways after i followed your instructions, i tested the file. if i used the default category, there was no problems. but if i created an event in another category, then i would get duplicate entries and finally it crashed the program.
i've already rebuilt this file from scratch, so there should be no legacy issues from older versions of the program. i'm at a loss at what to do. appreciate your help! thanks for trying.
