I'm not sure what's going on with my HMO well.. actually I do... they just went out of business.. but not sure why.. unless my years of medical care is some indication..
In any case.. I halfway through February I received a letter switching me to a more popular HMO. I will be seeing a doctor for the first time in well over 10 years (more like 20.. since I had no follow-up after my surgery, except the stint in the emergency room for strep throat, where I was told I had diabetes, high blood pressure and a bad ticker..
Anyway.. I don't know what to think yet.. my first appointment will be on April Fool's Day and the doctor's located in what was once the local mortuary.
