assuming the old one was working prior to being pulled for the upgrade... put the old one back in to verify no (system) hardware failure. then re-read everything (firmware, jumpers, etc) and try again. if the hardware works and the upgrade doesn't, then that would be useful info to have when you call to mfg. for support if you bought the upgrade new, or for contacting the 'seller' if you bought used. just my 2 cents.
