I have a case similar to this one; http://www.drbott.com/prod/db.lasso?code=5183-FC17, it is the best case I have ever had. I am able to work with the least amount of prep, just open the lid and I'm ready. As I sit here looking at that open lid, which comes off by simply sliding it over and could stand up on its own. It occurs to me that I could recess another PB LCD assembly into it and double my desktop real estate. It could also be used as a mirrored display for on-the-go presentations. I guess this would be a PowerBook case case mod! After some research for the parts, I have a couple of issues that are unanswered.
1. Does the PB LCD assembly contain everything needed to be an external display?
2. Can it be powered by another laptop battery? I would hate to run everything off of one. Full charge would probably only last 40 mins.
