After I removed the original white paint by leaving the case in rubbing alcohol for an hour or so, I hit the inside with a few coats of glitter spray paint. It's just the glitter so I then went over the whole thing with silver chrome spray paint. Because you see the underside of the layer of chrome paint, it's not as shiny as the top side which is on the inside of the case so you don't see it. Still, it came out good enough for me. It's metallic enough to look like a slightly shinier Ti-Book when held side by side. Except this has the glitter which give it an extra dimension. The clear case of the iBook makes it look like it's under a major coating of shellac which gives it further dimension. I think I'll continue to do more iBook mods for this reason. The paint underneath is really protected well.
