How ever there is some use for the LCD. You can make a light up picture frame. I made one before from a old IBM think pad LCD. Just find the power and play with it until you can get a white screen and tape/glue a picture that is a bit smaller then the screen and wallah.

Or go on ebay and buy a new logicboard for the iBook.
