I meant to ask. What did you use to defrag it? Defragging in X is a special creature. It speeds up system processes if certain files are in certain places, some system parts need to be near the center for faster access, so if it's done wrong it slows down general speed. I don't know if it would slow it enough for a 5 minute boot, but I figure you did the defrag because of the slow start.
