this is more of a technical question than a size issue:<br><br>I'm replacing an 80gb SATA drive with a newer Seagate 160gb SATA II - which lists the potential transfer speed as up to 300mpbs. Here's the thing - my G5's SATA controller tops out at 150mbps, but I have read that the drive will adapt to the lower speed by way of a jumper setting.<br><br>However, I *am* also reading about issues with 'SSC' (spread spectrum clocking), and how it causes problems with PPC G5's. Anyone have any experience with this? <br><br>I figured that since I ordered a smaller drive it may not be an issue, but you never know....<br><br><br>[color:purple]Work With ____! </font color=purple>
