#1917 - 07/10/0107:54 PMDell refutes report that Apple will be tops in edu
July 10 - 15:52 ET: Following yesterday's report from Quality Education Data that predicted Apple will regain the top spot in the education space this year, Dell has come out disputing the numbers. "We believe we're well-positioned to retain our leadership position in the U.S. and we don't expect that to change," said Dell spokesman Dean Kline. Dell pointed out an IDC report that showed Dell's market share in education has grown to 34 percent while Apple's has dropped to 22 percent. Meanwhile, IDC senior analyst David Daoud said that Apple's new iBook has helped it pick up sales but that dislodging Dell from the stop spot may prove very difficult.

How do you feel about the issue?
